Starbucks or not?

There's a coffee company that i can really get behind. No, it's not starbucks-- although they make an excellent beverage, some of their moral/social agendas could be called into quesiton. I recently got a hold of a cup of puravida coffee. What an excellent Taste! I highly recommend checking them out on their flavor alone.

After doing some research on the company, you'll find an even better reason to enjoy their brew. Puravida has compassion and charity at the core of their business model. As a non-profit organization, they try to base their business decisions on 'good' rather than 'greed'.

They accomplish this through first, paying their farmers a fair wage. Most coffee companies squeeze the local farmers to charge pennies on the dollar for their beans. Puravida pays it's farmers the fair market value for every bean that goes through their facility. On Top of that, they then turn around and use their profits to help benefit the areas from which they purchase the beans.

I think they have one of the best business plans i have seen in a long time.

as a Christian, i think it is key to support businesses that promote good rather than greed. and thus, i say check out puravida!

How you can help? buy some coffee OR donate directly!
